Hello again 9k, but from the wrong side

The Sensex first closed above 9000 on Dec 9th, 2005. After 6 months, it is back to the same levels, with a trip to 12,600 on the way. “Investors” in this phenomenon can be categorized as follows:

* Those who entered post-9000 (when everybody started experiencing euphoria), have seen large losses over the past month, and probably given up hopes;

* Those who entered pre-9000, have seen their gains wiped out, but have yet to lose some % of their principal.

Will the second variety now panic & trigger another 15+% drop and take us to 7000?
