MF, FII Flows in July

A quick look at mutual fund & FII flows in the Indian equity markets: In July, FIIs were net buyers, while mutual funds remained neutral overall. Of course, the last few days of July saw buying from both camps.

The absolute numbers remain muted though - consider that FIIs sold over Rs 7500 crores worth of equities in May. The market remains range-bound, even as quarterly corporate earnings are mostly out of the way. If you are looking for more action, here’s potential catalysts: US Fed rate hike (due August 8th), RBI rate hike, oil prices.
