While you eagerly await the 2007-2008 Union Budget to be announced today, here’s some stuff to peruse - the 2006-2007 Economic Survey for India. I haven’t reviewed it yet, but here’s some articles that provide a summary:
Given that credit growth has far outpaced RBI’s expectations, any major slowdown in lending is sure to affect consumer spending & real estate prices - which in turn will drag down GDP growth.
