The Twain book sounds especially fascinating to anyone who is interested in the twin arts of writing and money-making. I always want to sneer at people who sneer at writers who wish to actually be paid for their work. This troupe of sneerers seem to believe that writing is art and that art comes from the soul and that the fruits of the soul shall not be bought.

How many publishers have Seeking Alpha’s problem of having 6,500 feeds (which is stupid in the first place) to track? And on a marginally-related note, the recently launched Way of the Turtle blog has a post on why traders should write (or even better, blog!):
I encourage any of you who wish to improve your trading, whether it is systematic, discretionary, or some combination of the above to write down the reasons you believe your approach to trading works in simple terms that could be understood by a reasonably intelligent reader. I believe you will find, as I did, that writing can be more educational than reading.
Curtis’ reason is pretty much why I started blogging about my option trading in 2004 - to capture both my own thought processes as well as valuable sources of information!
