GalaTime

My name is Kaushik Gala; I am co-founder and COO at Moneyoga, a brand-new startup focused on developing analytics, trading strategies & an investment community for Indian capital markets.

Originally from Pune, India, I am married, have a four year old daughter, and currently live in Navi Mumbai. I have an engineering and business background (with MSEE and MBA degrees) and have worked for Motorola, Freescale Semiconductor amd IPVALUE in the past.

GalaTime was launched in August '04, and for about a year, my blogging activities revolved around trading options in the US financial markets. During this time, I came across an interesting mix of readers, and also made some excellent connections with fellow traders/bloggers. And to top it off, GalaTime was featured on the Forbes' Best of the Web list for investing blogs.

Having relocated from Austin to Bangalore in August '05, I had to put my option trading & blogging interests on hold, but the archive continues to live at http://www.galatime.com/options. In January 2006, I re-launched the GalaTime blog, but the focus this time is going to be the Indian Capital Markets. My goal is to create a comprehensive view of financial markets in India, and then translate that into detailed trading plans, strategies and most importantly, consistent profits!
